How to Setup PCSX2 BIOS

PCSX2 is a PlayStation 2 emulator for Windows computers. It is the most popular PS2 emulator which offer you the high game compatibility. In case you want to play old PlayStation 2 games on the Windows PC, then go through the instructions mentioned in this article to set up PCSX2 BIOS.

Steps to Download BIOS

• Go to the install folder.

• Click twice on the “pcsx2–1.4.0-setup.exe.”

• Choose the components which you wish to install in the context menu.

• You don’t have to make any changes.

• Press on the Next option.

• Accept the terms and conditions for downloading BIOS.

• Start installing the Visual C + +.

• Go through the checkbox.

• Choose the Install option.

• You have successfully installed the PCSX2 emulator.

• Now, you have to set up the BIOS before start playing the game.

Steps to Setup PCSX2 BIOS

• Find the PCSX2 file.

• It is located in the Start menu software menu list.

• Go to the software.

• Now, begin with the First Time Configuration display.

• Press on the Next option.

• Go through the plug-ins which are available now.

• These plug-ins include the PCSX2 emulator.

• Press on the Next option.

• After getting the BIOS display on the screen, choose the “Open in Explorer” option.

• This option is located in the end right-hand side of the screen.

• Now you will get the prompt menu, which indicates “This path does not exist. Create it?”

• Press on the Create option.

• Start minimizing the configuration menu.

• Go to the folder where you have installed the BIOS.

• Go to the folder.

• Pull the unpacked files from the installation folder to any other folder.

• Start maximizing the “First Time Configuration” menu.

• Choose the “Refresh list” to check the regions which are currently available.

• You will get the countries to name in the white checkbox such as Europe, the USA, and Europe.

• Choose the region.

• Press on the Finish option for completing the setup procedure.

• Now, you have successfully installed the PCSX2.

Steps to Setup Keyboard or Gamepad

• Go to the PCSX2 emulator.

• Go to the “Config” option.

• After that, choose the “Controllers” option.

• At last, click on the “Plugin Settings” option.

• Now, you will get the three options on the screen, General, Pad 1, and Pad 2.

• Pad 1 and 2 are for the players 1 and 2.

• Choose Pad 1 to set up the controller.

• You will get the schematic with the options which you need to set up.

• These options stand for the PlayStation 2 controller.

• Press on each option separately.

• Click on the corresponding key provided on the system keyboard.

• Otherwise, you will get it in the controller.

• Choose the OK option.

Steps for Loading the PS2 ISO File

• Make a folder for the ISO games.

• Open the PCSX2.

• Move the mouse cursor above the “CDVD” option.

• After that, choose the “ISO Selector. “option.

• After that, select the Browse option.

• Search for the game ISO on the system.

• Press on the Open option.

• PCSX2 will open the NRG, BIN, MDF and IMG file types.

• Go to the “System” option.

• After that, click on the “Boot CDVD” option.

• Wait until your game gets loaded.
